Hello all. I have a question (again) regarding spray booth designs.
I know that you need a spark proof fan in order to exhaust volatile fumes.
However, would it be possible to have a fan mounted (old furnace blower) so that it pushes the air through the bootch instead of having to suck it out? In this way, the fumes would not be 'touching' the fan, so to speak.
I was thinking of building a booth (cross draft) that would be like this: fan on outer wall/ inner wall full of filtres / spray area / wall of filtres / exhaust port to outside.
Is this viable? I am thinking of startin with KTM-9 so really the bomb proof issue is not eminent. I might want to try McFaddens later on,though.
   Thanks in advance. Regards.

You should have negative air flow and be able to suck the air out of the booth. if you have a positive draft booth you need to seal everything air tight and have magnetic seals on the doors.
It can be done but is acutally more expensive than the negative A/P design
